I am a true Floridian--I've never even seen snow, and I don't know about seasons other than Summer. My Husband and I are planning to see good friends at the end of November near the Bucksport/Bangor area. Will it be a nice visit? Is the weather dreary yet at that time? Might we see at least a few trees with colorful leaves? Can we still have fabulous lobster? Might I see snow for the first time?! Let me know what you think about a trip at this time of the year. Thanks! What should I expect if we visit Maine at the end of November?
It'll be a little cold. Highs 30s-40s, overnight lows below freezing.
Trees will be long past their prime for leaf peeping.
Lobster is always available.
Snow..... possible. But not likely.
It will still be great weather for hiking.

i live in portland, maine
--no colorful leaves but in that area you'll see big, lush green pine trees, also with a little effort you can explore some of the areas mountainsand lakes and see plenty of moose
--weather not really dreary, it stays surprisingly sunny during the winter in maine, at least on the coast it does...last year it was 20 degrees and snowing in early december, the eyar before it was 45 degrees and rainy so you never know what you'll get
--lobster will be abundant
--while in bangor- drive out to acadia national park (about 1 1/2 hours away) you'll see the famous rugged maine coast and at that time of year you'll have it to yourself
--yes it will be a nice visit, end of november is "shoulder season" or "mud season" --too late for fall foliage and too early for winter tourist season..but that means the hordes of tourists wont be aroundWhat should I expect if we visit Maine at the end of November?
You might, or might not be able to see snow...Some winters we get tons of snow, and others, we get little snow...The dreary weather depends on the weather...it's not all cloudy...It's bright and sunny too.
