George Clooney is the major star. This movie is aout a group of fishermen,poor fellows out for the big catchto improve the lives of those they love. These men striving against the seas, fighting all kinds of battles,on the docks, at home,owners of the ships, but mostly these fellows fight the sea.

In this movie life deals them the perfect storm a weather front moves in on them from three directions. Because their radio is out then end up choosing the wrong way. This storm is of such horrific proportions that getting out a live is impossible for them. Since they don't possess all the info about the demensions of the storm they don't know how to navigate out of it. The sea have formed the perfect wall around them, ultimately the ship sinks.This is a true story of fishermen in Maine.

Sometimes our lives are such a mess, we only see inpart, we make many wrong choices too.

This story lends itself to life problems. Do we have Jesus inour Boat? Awake or Asleep?Did you ever see the movieThe Perfect Storm? Did they have Jesus in their ship?
Matthew 8:23-26 - "And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him, and, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. And his disciples came to him and awoke him, say, Lord, save us: we perish. And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm."



We will face "storms" in this life too, circumstances which test our faith. As Christians, we are never alone in these trials, we have the assurance that Jesus is right there with us, because He said He would never leave us nor forsake us. It's when the "waves" threaten to get the best of us, that our cries for help awaken the Master, and He is always faithful to calm the raging seas of life again. If the men in the "Perfect Storm" had just cried out to Jesus to help them, instead of relying on their own might to save themselves, I believe there would have been a different outcome.Did you ever see the movieThe Perfect Storm? Shows what greed will do for you.That captain should have known better then to put his crew in danger the way he did.God gave us a brain to use.He did not use his wisely.
