North East - Road trip suggestions?

I am currently planning to travel during my spring break (about 5-6 days) and I was wondering which places are a must-see in a few states. The states I would prefer to go are Maine, Massachusetts and Connecticut.. probably too many places for 6 days.

Plus, weather is a concern because it is spring and I don't know if the weather will still be as cold as winter and that would hinder me from going sightseeing and all that.

Does anyone have any suggestions on the best places to go around this region?

A suggested plan would be great!

Oh! And please do tell if there are interesting places in NH, VT or RI that I don't know of.

Thanks, much appreciated.North East - Road trip suggestions?
I would recommend someplace much warmer than New England during spring break. It is still March, and it is usually cold, and the area is still prone to crippling winter storms. Besides many places are closed for the season.
Boston is always a fun place to visit, but be warned, driving in the city is goddawful, take the T(local subway instead)
You may want to head up to Salem, check out the witch stuff, there are other things to see and do there
And visit the old mansions in Newport RI
The Mystic Aquarium in Mystic, CT
The ski resorts in northern New England will still be open for business if your into that

Things to do in Boston
Museums, lots of Museums: The MFA (art) Isabella Stuart Gardner (art) ICA (art) The Aquarium, The Science Museum, Harvard and MIT museums, not to mention all the Historical sites; sites along the Freedom Trail, John Adams House

Check listings for concerts, plays and other events

shopping, lots of shopping in Quincy Market, Newbury Street or Harvard Square in Cambridge, also visit the insanely overpriced Copley Place Mall

Spend a night in Western Massachusetts and Vermont. The drive on the Mass. Turnpike (I-90) takes you through the rolling hills of the Berkshire Mountains and is very colorful. Head to the Norman Rockwell Museum. It's in the artist community of Stockbridge. It sits on an large estate and has some great views of the surrounding countryside.

Stay at one of the charming B%26amp;Bs in the area

From Stockbridge, head north to Vermont on the Ethan Allen Highway, U.S. Route 7. to Bennington. They have covered bridges and great scenery. Stop at one of the many apple orchards for some fresh baked apple pie and cider. Don't forget to buy some world famous Vermont maple syrup and cheddar cheese.

Drive through the Green Mountains on VT Route 9 towards Brattleboro (I-91 South). There are several mountain lookouts to stop at to view the area.

Take I-91 to I-90 and head to Boston.
Walk the Freedom Trail in Boston. It takes you everywhere you want to go, including the North End, which has the best Italian food in the country. The gelato is to die for. Other stops include Paul Revere's house, the Old North Church, Faneuil Hall, Old Ironsides (U.S.S. Constitution), and Bunker Hill. The tour of U.S.S. Constitution is really neat. Faneuil Hall is where everyone goes to meet, shop, and hang out. (Lots of street theater and other interesting things.)

The Museum of Fine Arts has a great collection

There is a real interesting museum at Harvard. They have a botanical collection reproduced in hand blown glass. There are 3,000 hand blown glass flowers and plants. It's pretty amazing. Take a walk around the campus and Harvard Square.

Boston cream pie and Parker House rolls were created at The Parker House Hotel. Stop by for dinner. BTW you can order dinner rolls to go and they sell slices of the pie in the gift shop.
