I'm thinking about heading up there in mid-june and was wondering if it would feel like summer or if it would still be coldWhat is the average weather in Bar Harbor, Maine in June?
Definitely plan on bringing layers of clothing. The weather can call for shorts and sandals or polar fleece and sweaters. If you're going out on the water you might even want a hat. Mid-June is a pretty time of year with the lupine season just beginning. Lake swimming is just beginning and ocean swimming is well, more for the story. The hiking is incredible and there are so many daylight hours right at that time. What is the average weather in Bar Harbor, Maine in June?
mid-june is my favorite time to visit bar harbor, no summer crowds yet....weather is still coolish but not cold, it wont feel like summer; most likely 60's to maybe 70's on good days, the catch is that bar harbor is very wet and foggy so that may make the air temp feel cooler..What is the average weather in Bar Harbor, Maine in June?
Don't forget to hit Cadillac Mountain for a Sunrise! It's the first place in the continental US that the light touches each day, so you would literally be the first person in America to see the sun.
Don't forget to dress warm in layers. I was there last August and it was in the 30s overnight on the mountaintop.
Acadia National Park is awesome for hiking, kayaking, fishing and camping. Tons of sun for fun!
