Weather in NewEngland/Canada in august?

I am going on august 11th for 9 days on a canada new england cruise.

We will first be going to 2 dpots in maine than to hallifax and newbrunswick in canada, followed by massachusetts. Does anyone know what the weather is usually in that area around that time? Because we are hoping its not rainy season, thanks.Weather in NewEngland/Canada in august?
In Maine, during any season you can pretty much experience all kinds of weather. But usually in August, it's fairly nice.Weather in NewEngland/Canada in august?
New England and Atlantic Canada weather is chaotic, and doesn't have a rainy season. Sometimes it rains, sometimes it doesn't, and you can't predict more than a few days ahead. Daytime temperatures can be in the 80s or in the 60s, in the same week. NIght time temperatures are somewhat cooler, maybe 50s or 60s.

Pack some shorts and some long pants, some tee shirts and a long sleeved shirt, a sweater or jacket for cool evenings. Tradition says the more rain stuff you bring, the less it will rain.

Oh, and have fun. Atlantic Canada is a great place. Have some Rappie Pie for me.Weather in NewEngland/Canada in august?
Sounds YUMMY! Have a great time!

August is a toss up in the Northeast. Could be 98 one day and 65 and raining the next.
