The term Nor'easter tends to be overused by the media. It should be reserved for the strongest storms that move slowly up the coast and last for 2-3 days, and are accompanied by strong northeast winds and heavy precipitation as well as coastal flooding. What is the difference between a Nor'easter and any other storm?
They track up the east cosat bringing storm winds on the western side of the storm. The winds are from the northeast and so they call them nor'easters. What is the difference between a Nor'easter and any other storm?
The nor'easters track up from down from the north to the east. Then there are also clippers that are like Alberta and the Colorado. These are commonly ones that goes diagonally.
