Depends on how high the ash cloud goes. If it gets into the ozone layer and spreads around the world (similar to Pinatubo in 1991) then the global temperature could drop by a degree on average. Volcanic ash generally represents global cooling because the sulphur particles located within the ash cloud itself reflects sunlight.
