Good resources for running a LGBT youth group?

I know some people who run a youth organization for LGBT kids and their allies. They are being over run with straight kids who are just there to get out of the cold weather (We are in Maine). So, to combat this, they are trying to make it necessary for everyone to participate in learning about different topics while there. Their thinking is that this plethora of straight kids won't want to be there to learn something unless they are truly interested.

Anyway, does anyone know of any LGBT youth resources or websites that help guide youth organizations?Good resources for running a LGBT youth group?
Angie, i dont know any sources. I thought maybe there'd be an lgbt website and it redirected me to gay.com a website to meet other gays.

Anyways, im proud of you for working hard on this youth group, and that i'd help but cali isnt exactly next door lol

The Baltimore LGBT Center has had an LGBT youth group for more than twenty years, I believe. They're bound to have a wealth of information and I'm sure they'd share. The youth group is called SAIM. They're all good people there, so I wouldn't hesitate contacting them. The center's website is www.glccb.org and the youth group contact email is: SAIM@glccb.org
