Can Black Mouth Curs live outside during the winter?

I live in Maine where it can get very cold at times during the winter and I was wondering if Black mouth curs can live outside in the colder weather of winter and be alright. Can Black Mouth Curs live outside during the winter?
Not ideally. Unless it has a heated dog house and de-icing water bowl, and even then, Maine winters are very cold with very dense snow. If you keep the fenced yard or area where it's living on the farm free of snow (shoveling multiple times daily), combined with the heated home, it may be okay. But, a dog lives best indoors, and out for limited duration to exercise and potty.

Perhaps a Bernese MD, arctic breed, Great Pyr, or Newfie, for examples, would be fine throughout the day and night multiple days (other than snow/iceballs on clumping hair, esp feet)...but it is very difficult to gauge how outdoor dogs' health is faring. You can miss diarrhea, vomit, parasites, abnormal urine, bite wounds, etc for too long before it's noticed and you get the dog treatment. Dogs that live in close quarters with people are better socialized too.

They often compete with stray critters and wildlife for their food and living space too.
