Thanks! =).::Maine::.?
Its really not that bad and actually quite comfortable in the summer. You will especially enjoy the nights when the temperature drops to very comfortable levels for sleeping. Having an air conditioner is nice to have typically between July and August although you can usually get by without one.
Coastal areas will experience cooler summers and warmer winters (although sometimes this can result in an icy mix of percipitation while inland areas enjoy more snow). Coastal areas will also have slightly more wind.
Summers are generally hot, often with periods at the hight of summer where the temperature will be in the mid 80s. Extreme temperatures of 92-95 will occur once or twice in the summer.
Recent winters have been much warmer than usual with less snow as well.

I have to say I don't love the winter, however winter in Maine can be very charming. In Kennebunkport, Maine they have so many events that make the winter fun. It is so beautiful here. You will love it.
