How's the weather like in Seattle, Oregon, Maine, Vermont, and Toronto?

These are 5 out of 6 places where I want to live when I grow up. A few of my biggest factors are weather and natural surroundings. I'd like a cool, temperate, and naturally beautiful place.

I want to know how the weather's like from someone who actually lives in any of these places.

Plus, how expensive are houses there? And how's the economy? Thanks! How's the weather like in Seattle, Oregon, Maine, Vermont, and Toronto?
Seattle:

Economy is doing okay. We have Mircosoft, Boeing and Starbucks kind of keeping us a float even if they are have problems themselves. It's not balanced though, some places in Seattle are thriving and alive, as others are failing. Jobs are tight, but it's not as bad as you think.

Houses are rather expensive depending on where you want to live. There are definite rich areas and low income areas. Living on the out skirts of town in Shoreline, Kirkland, Bellevue would be better.

Traffic is a little hectic right now, there is a lot of construction right now, transportation is nothing like it should be for a up and coming city. It's almost just better to walk everywhere.

The weather is beautiful. You get all kinds of weather without any 'real' danger. We get bad winds, which doesn't mix well with the rain. We actually don't get as much rain as you think. It's a lot of overcast. The winters are cold, we get some snow (most people from else where thinks it's nothing, and we get made fun for freaking out about 6 inches but you will see the streets that are 60 degrees at times).

The summers are hot and sunny, but we do get rain which it is always refreshing.

I love Seattle. Unless you live here you won't get our over-coffee drinking, rain gear and rain boots is casual wear, over-recycling culture that we have. Try it some time. How's the weather like in Seattle, Oregon, Maine, Vermont, and Toronto?
I can only speak about Toronto since I live there.

It is an interesting city, It can get pretty cold in the winters(windchill = -30 degrees C), but the summers are excellent (30 degrees C).

Housing prices are alright.

Extras:

Nightlife is great.

The people are real nice.

The most multi-culutural city worldwide.

Subway system is expanding by 2020 (not as big as NY)How's the weather like in Seattle, Oregon, Maine, Vermont, and Toronto?
You can compare the weather in the US cities and states at http://www.weatherbyday.com. I personally like the coastal areas because the ocean moderates the extreme temperatures.
