yahoo,and the weather channel,tell me the forecast and such but i want a site that explains in detail. for example "a storm is blowing south west from the north Atlantic,causing freezing rain over eastern Maine". Sorta like watching the local weatherman, but where i can choose any region on the globe.Any good weather sites that explain why weather in a particular region is happening?
It sounds like you are asking about a product issued by each National Weather Service Forecast Office called, Area Forecast Discussion, or AFD for short.
You can go to the national page at;
http://www.weather.gov/
and click on the map where you are interested in. That will take you to the forecast office responsible for the area you clicked on.
On the left hand side, look under the Forecasts portion for text products of the forecast and the AFD should be listed under the forecasts somewhere, you may have to go to a couple of pages in some cases to find it or do a search for the AFD from the main page.
These discussions are sometimes very technical and hard to understand. Some will contain glossaries to help understanding what you are reading.
An example of one can be found at;

impaweather.com is one of the best place to know about the weather . Seeing is believing .Read the review here http://www.enjoymypost.com/2009/02/check鈥?/a>Any good weather sites that explain why weather in a particular region is happening?
Weather network.com
You can download a side bar for your computer so you can check daily.
OR you can just go to the website.
