Where should I move to on the east coast?

I do not want to live in Maine anymore, due to the amount of winter, and cold weather, I dont mind a little bit of snow, but come on its snowing right now in Oct.. So I would like to move more south, but not further then NC, SC ish places??? Where should I move to.

P.S. have to be in driving distance from a beach.Where should I move to on the east coast?
You kind of already answered your own question, NC/SC would be perfect if you want to live close to a beach, but from what I understand is that in off seasons things are a bit slow. I vacation in NC every summer and I love it. Beautiful senary, beaches are clean and never crowned, weather can get a bit warmer then I'd like but all and all its a great place to be.

I would do some research make sure the things you like to do are able to be done there and then make your decision. PA isn't too bad it's cold right now but no snow..yet. There are lenty of big cities and lots to do and we are only 1-2 hours away from the Jersey shore. and then there is Jersey.
You need to get a job somewhere first, then move. The employment situation is dire all over the US. How about Virginia Beach Va ? Or Norfolk Va.

A friend of mine lives about 25 miles went of Atlantic City in NJ, and she rarely gets snow. Too close to the ocean.Where should I move to on the east coast?
I hear ya sister--I'm already scared sh*tless of whats to come in the next SIX months...i agree with virginia beach--not only are you close to the beach but virginia has 5000 foot mountains just like maine and new hampshire--you get the best of both worlds but much nicer weather

asheville, north carolina is also a good choice but not near a beach--surrounded by mountains though and very mild weather year round --50 degrees in january sounds pretty good
Florida

No winter at all, especially south FloridaWhere should I move to on the east coast?
Virginia is great. But my suggestion would be the outer banks. Its a group of islands in northern north carolina. They are perfect!
