What do you think about America (as a place to live/ holiday in)?

I want to live in somewhere in either Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York or Maine (so pretty much the North-Eastern corner of the USA). I'm Australian and just sick of the hot weather here but don't want to go somewhere as cold as Canada. Plus I love [the majority of] Americans because of their patriotism and my favourite musicians, poets, writers, actors and pretty much any media successes are American so you must be doing a lot right other there :)What do you think about America (as a place to live/ holiday in)?
You love patriotism??? Of America? Good luck living here we are bankrupt and still wage wars...
Philadelphia, PA or Cherry Hill, NJ as a hub to the surrounding neighborhood. I prefer southern Jersey because it is closed to the beaches and it is a great place in the summer (short season). And it is close proximity to Philadelphia, Washington,DC, New York and the New England area. You have the four season that you are looking for. Gets cold in the winter (short times) then spring and summer and watch the leaves turn in the Falls.

If you are into socializing, summertime at the shore is where most people come to visit and have a wonderful time. We have Atlantic City which some consider the "Vegas" of the east. 11 casinos with great buffets and shows. Wildwood (30 miles south) is a party town in the summertime.

Go online and do more research and make the right choice for you. You can always relocate. What do you think about America (as a place to live/ holiday in)?
I have been making the holiday trips home to my small southern town for about ten years now and every time, I can't wait to go, then I'm there for four days and I can't wait to get back to NY. It's more competitive than other places, for jobs, definitely tough for housing, but then you feel cool because you thrive here. It's expensive, you have no space, yard, car, or quiet. But then you have no rednecks, driving traffic (city folk don't drive), or WalMarts. There is a great variety of restaurant food types, a good variety of people, and if you're into the arts it's got plenty to offer. It's also got a lot if you like sports.
Great Idea, I was brought up in Maine and its a really enjoyable place to go. If you do end up going for vacation though you should go in Fall or early Spring because it gets really packed there! My mother used to bring me down to York, Maine for a month or two when I was younger (like 12-14) and I was really fun! I still visit. There's great homes, the beaches are beautiful, and there's a lot of fun things to do! I really hope you come because York is such a beautiful place! What do you think about America (as a place to live/ holiday in)?
Great for either. But, unless you're independently wealthy, or have relatives already living here, you're not likely to be able to move here. For that, you need an employer who will file paperwork for a work visa for you, which isn't going to happen unless you have a rare skill or experience that isn't easily found in US workers. And, with the unemployment rate so high here, that's going to be even harder.
You don't think It's cold in those states you listed? Ask Buffalo or Erie, PA if they enjoy their winters, lmao. Since you stereotyped Canada, I will assume since you're an Aussie you ride kangaroos and the boomerang toss is your favourite sport.
