MAINE WEDDING OUTDOORS?

Okay everyone... I need a true Mainers input. I have my wedding day set for Sept. 5 2009.

What will the weather be like?

How are the mosquitoes?

It's best to have the wedding in the early hours right?... Like maybe 11am?

Thank you for your help! MAINE WEDDING OUTDOORS?
weather is usually good in september--still sunny, not as hot/humid as mid summer...expect 70's and mostly sunny skies...BUT sept 5th is still close enough to summer that you can expect anything...last week we had 88 degrees one day and 60's the entire next week...today is rainy but the next 5 days are gonna be 60's -70 and sunny...so for the most part you will be safe with weather....

..as far as daytime wedding goes--that shouldnt be a factor, you can pick anytime you want---september weather is more settled than summer (summer is notorious for afternoon thunderstorms in maine), so if its cool and sunny at 11:00am it will still be sunny at 4pm....as far as daylight goes, the sun goes down around 7pm, and is completely dark at 8pmMAINE WEDDING OUTDOORS?
Hi! I was surprised to see a question about Maine here!

Don't worry too much about mosquitos, because in September they aren't too bad at all.

The month of September is nice and cool normally, but remember it is prime hurricane season. We don't feel the full brunt like down south, but normally the weather comes up north and passes our way. This means that some days we'll have pretty good thunder storms.

I don't want to scare you away though, because it is really mild compared to what you see on television.

Normally, the weather is cool and dry. If you wanted to wait until the end of September, you will experience a lot more scenery. The leaves start to change and it will be incredibly colorful. You may also avoid some of the storms as well.

Good luck on your wedding planning and congratulations!
