Giant Storm Outbreak Leading To 2012 Apocalypse?

I'm just wondering if this huge outbreak that stretches from Texas to Maine %26amp; the outbreak coming to north east states like Connecticut on Monday have anything to do with 2012? We already got the weird weather, the wars %26amp; the earthquakes %26amp; nuclear radiation....is it the end of the world?Giant Storm Outbreak Leading To 2012 Apocalypse?
When you say 2012, are you thinking of the claims of those who say the end of the Mayan long count calendar means the end of the world? That's certainly a great way to sell books, but the people who actually study the Mayan calendar, as compared to those who know a little and speculate for profit, generally agree that what the Mayans thought would happen at the end of the long count, was the beginning of another cycle of long count. In other words, a sort of glorified (because it was infrequent) new year's eve.

"Misinterpretation of the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar is the basis for a New Age belief that a cataclysm will take place on December 21, 2012. December 21, 2012 is simply the day that the calendar will go to the next baktun."--http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M鈥?br>

"Scholars from various disciplines have dismissed the idea of catastrophe in 2012. Mainstream Mayanist scholars state that predictions of impending doom are not found in any of the existing classic Maya accounts, and that the idea that the Long Count calendar "ends" in 2012 misrepresents Maya history."--http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/鈥?br>

Even if the end of the long count was a Mayan prediction of doomsday, why should we believe that prediction is any more accurate than the thousands of previous doomsday predictions? Go over to the website for "A Brief History of the Apocalypse"--http://www.abhota.info/--an鈥?take a look at the doomsday predictions dating back to 2,800 B.C.

Why would you think this prediction is any better than all those who have gone before? Natural disasters happen. To gain a little perspective, do an internet search for the Minoan eruption of about 1,500 B.C., one of the largest volcanic eruptions in recorded history. The world didn't end, and it was much more significant than your thunderstorm.
Do you think there's never been a storm before?

Nuclear radiation from Japan? Anyone been killed or injured by it? Thought not.

As for the rest of it, when has there not been weird weather, earthquakes and wars?

2012 apocalypse is a hoax and nothing more. Get used to the idea.Giant Storm Outbreak Leading To 2012 Apocalypse?
Why are people in a panic over thunderstorms? Thunderstorms happen all the time .

its nothing new.
