Weather in NewEngland/Canada in august?

I am going on august 11th for 9 days on a canada new england cruise.

We will first be going to 2 dpots in maine than to hallifax and newbrunswick in canada, followed by massachusetts. Does anyone know what the weather is usually in that area around that time? Because we are hoping its not rainy season, thanks.Weather in NewEngland/Canada in august?
There can be rain depending on what hurricanes move up the coast, they are usually fizzled out by the time they get passed the Carolinas but usually carry heavy rains for a couple days, other than that it tends to be occasional rain as humidity builds up

The temperatures vary greatly though from Boston to Halifax

it is usually High 70s in Nova Scotia and high 80s in BostonWeather in NewEngland/Canada in august?
It's normally comfortably warn in daytime, cooling off in the evenings. While expect clear skies, rain is always a possibility. Unless a dying tropical storm shows up, rain shouldn't last too long.Weather in NewEngland/Canada in august?
There are usually scattered frontal showers every 4 days or so but organized regular storm systems that last a day or more are very rare. During very hot and humid weather there can be ocean fogs.

  • Is it a bad idea to install my underglow during winter?

Without mentioning legality, I would wait until Spring. I have a friend who left his underglow installed during the winter and ruined it. The snow and ice is hell on them.Is it a bad idea to install my underglow during winter?

Sherly temples would be cute which is just cranberry juice and sprite/seltzer if you don't know. of virgin pinacoltas look up a recipe. you can put ice in a blender then go to a party store then jsut pit it in it is soooooo yummmmmmmmmmmmmy
Virgin daquiris, smoothies, or mix cranberry juice with sprite or club soda. You could also get some vanilla syrup or fruit-flavored syrup, like they use for coffee and slushies, and make your own flavored sodas with club soda. Snow cones are fun too! What are some cool virgin drinks for a spring party.?
One that goes good at our gatherings is any type of kool aid and ginger ale or a citrus soft drink and a pint of sherbet in it.
A stem of fresh mint, a quarter of a lime and gingerale over ice.

In Maine, during any season you can pretty much experience all kinds of weather. But usually in August, it's fairly nice.Weather in NewEngland/Canada in august?
New England and Atlantic Canada weather is chaotic, and doesn't have a rainy season. Sometimes it rains, sometimes it doesn't, and you can't predict more than a few days ahead. Daytime temperatures can be in the 80s or in the 60s, in the same week. NIght time temperatures are somewhat cooler, maybe 50s or 60s.

Pack some shorts and some long pants, some tee shirts and a long sleeved shirt, a sweater or jacket for cool evenings. Tradition says the more rain stuff you bring, the less it will rain.

Oh, and have fun. Atlantic Canada is a great place. Have some Rappie Pie for me.Weather in NewEngland/Canada in august?
Sounds YUMMY! Have a great time!

August is a toss up in the Northeast. Could be 98 one day and 65 and raining the next.

    Possibly Moving to Maine

I want to move to Maine. Anything I should know, expect, etc? Where should I live? Any good companies to work for? What are the bills often like out there? The weather? Anything else helpful would be greatly appreciated.Possibly Moving to Maine
Where do you live now? That would help in answering what you should expect in comparison as to what you are used to. The weather is great, except I hate the winters. Too cold and too much snow. Spring is muddy but nice. You can't beat Maine summers, not too hot, but comfortably warm the whole time (usually 70's and 80's everyday). Fall is great because there's a nice crisp air and the foliage is good.

The best part of Maine is the people though. Maine people are very friendly and courteous.

Driving in Maine is different than in big cities throughout the US. Drivers are much more patient and less aggressive.

The downside of Maine is that there isn't a lot of great social settings, but then again that varies on what part of Maine you live. Portland has a lot to do, as it is the biggest city in Maine.

Bills are cheap here too compared to cities in other parts of the country. Although you will need to spend a lot on oil to get through the winter.

  • Question about Maine.?

I'm 21, live in New Jersey and I work for the post office. Little by little I'm hating Jersey, its getting expensive, too crowded, too much everything, and its too hot for October weather. Anyway I'm considering moving to Maine sometime in the future with my girlfriend (she's a hair stylist). I'm considering Maine for its location and possible colder weather which Iike. But I'm wondering how working for the P.O. there is, and how expenses are etc, because I plan on moving my life from NJ to Maine and would like to learn more. Thanks!Question about Maine.?
Lived in Maine all my life and I can tell you that when the tourists come in, the prices skyrocket. However, in general, from looking at the news and the internet, I think our prices are pretty much even with the rest of New England and I suspect New Jersey's as well. Just be warned! Our taxes are horrendous, as are the house prices and rent averages about $1000 per month for a 1 bedroom. Jobs are hard to come by, but transferring within the USPS will give you an edge. For your girlfriend, I constantly see help wanted ads for hairstylists. I have no idea what the pay is like though.

    Good luck!

I want to move to florida where is it the safest as far as crime and weather where are the jobs plentiful ?

im from maine im tired of the cold and my bills here are consuming me to know end .i want to move to florida where should i go ,where is the cheapest part to move to that has alot of jobs ?where are the schools the safest i need to know somewhat where i should go please help thank youI want to move to florida where is it the safest as far as crime and weather where are the jobs plentiful ?
the cost of living here (FL) is higher and there are not a lot of jobs here. I moved here for college and it has been a year and i still haven't found a job.
That's exactly what I want too! When you find out.. let me know too!I want to move to florida where is it the safest as far as crime and weather where are the jobs plentiful ?
There are no decent jobs available in Florida currently. The wages are exceptionally low and the economic downturn has hit Florida more than other states. Anyone who has a job here is dug in tooth and nail. Why pick Florida?
Orlando/Kissimmee areas. Lots of touristy things for jobs, fairly safe areas.I want to move to florida where is it the safest as far as crime and weather where are the jobs plentiful ?
There's no such thing as the safest town/city here in Florida, unless you're like going to a retirement city like New Smyrna Beach or DeLand. You could go to Destin though.

Also, I don't know where the jobs are plentiful here though.. if you find out let me know, i'm in Jax and looking.
go to more north of florida around port st lucie or gainsville or orlando. around those areas. downer in the south theirs to much drama n etc. so stay up north in florida. o and the jobs in florida thier is very few as in they barely hire young people. they look for 18 and up most. overhere its mostly by connections tht you get jobs but you just gotta start applying to places and see if they hire you.
