Do You Know What Movie This Is?

The Setting is a town on the coast possibly in Maine. Some guy is in the town/comes into town and stuff happens to the towns people such as weird dreams. The main part I remember is the town people in the church voting on weather or not to give one of their sons to this devil(?) to raise as his son.If they did not give up a son then the guy would make them all walk into the ocean like he did to the colonist at the lost colony.The word Croatoan would also be found scribbled throughout the town.The last scene involves the father seeing his son with the devil and calling out to him.



Please help! I have been looking for this movie for years!Do You Know What Movie This Is?
