Visit Nicaragua! It's such a beautiful country!

And responding to your questions, yeah there are many "mestizo" people, not necessarily indigenous but of dark skin. Yes they use cellphones, and they're very advanced in the tech field for a central american country. There are roads but not interstates or long highways like United States, just two or three lane roads that connect to the whole city of Managua and the whole country as well.

Now to fast food, there is Burger King, McDonald's, Subway, Friday's, and many other well known american based restaurants. I'm sorry to tell you that no, there are no Taco Bell's as far as I can tell. But you should try their typical food! It's delicious, trust me!

The weather is always hot, always above 80 degrees fahrenheit, sunny, and it rains a lot during the months of may - july. So pack your stuff and visit this wonderful place, you'll love it and you will want to go back.

And please visit a hotel called Barcelo Playa Montelimar, it's a beautiful beach and the hotel is all inclusive! :DQuestions on Nicaragua?
Let me tell you it is absolutely a beautiful country! Yes we use cell phones and everything like that, there are roads where you can drive and everything, we don't have taco bell (sorry) we do have mcdonalds and burger king though.. The weather is great, hot, very different from maine..

The beaches are beautiful specially San Juan del Sur which is a 2 hour drive from Managua, and you definetly have to go to Granada which is a colonial city very pretty.

Hope you get the chance to come, you won't regret it.Questions on Nicaragua?
